Lincolnshire PCSO delivers in fight against COVID-19

A Lincolnshire PSCO has used some of the time when he’s not out on the beat to help with delivering PPE, testing kits, foods, medicines, and even Star Wars scrubs.

PCSO Dave Bunker patrols Skegness for Lincolnshire Police, but he has been going the extra mile to support the county during lockdown by also doing volunteer work for the Bike Shed Community Response.

He has delivered PPE, testing kits, foods and medicine as a volunteer for the Bike Shed Community Response.

Dave helps to deliver much needed items where they are needed most during the coronavirus pandemic.

In addition to PPE, testing kits and other crucial items, he also delivered Star Wars scrubs to Lincoln from the “Skegness Sewers for NHS”.

PCSO Bunker said, “This is a life-saving initiative. I feel privileged to be part of such an amazing group of volunteers working together in time of national crisis to protect and safeguard the most vulnerable in our communities.”

When the Bike Shed was forced to close its doors in London, it decided to mobilise its community into a volunteer rider’s group to provide free-courier style services to support the fight against COVID-19. There are hundreds of active volunteers on the Goph Courier App.
