Man dies in A1175 motorbike crash

A 25-year-old man from Peterborough died after his motorbike was involved in a serious collision on the A1175 near Market Deeping on Monday night.

The collision happened to the east of the A15 roundabout on the A1175 towards Hop Pole just before 7pm on Monday, April 6.

One vehicle, a red Kawasaki motorbike, was involved.

It was being ridden from Market Deeping towards Hop Pole. Sadly the motorbike rider died at the scene.

The road re-opened at 3.30am on Tuesday morning.

Lincolnshire Police officers returned to the scene as part of the investigation. An underwater search team and tactical support unit were also seen as police searched the adjacent field and water filled ditch for property.

The force is appealing for anyone who saw the red Kawasaki motorbike prior to the collision or the incident itself to get in touch. Police also believe the rider may have been riding with another motorbike, possibly a green Kawasaki, and are appealing for that person to contact them.

They also want to hear from someone who has any information or dashcam footage.

Detective Sergeant Luke Wells, Lead Investigator for the Serious Collision Investigations Unit, said: “I am appealing to the rider of the green motorbike who may have been riding with the red Kawasaki to make contact with the police directly.
