Two teenage brothers were allegedly punched and kicked in an unprovoked assault by a gang of men in a Tesco Express car park in Grantham.
The teenagers, aged 19 and 16, were both assaulted as they approached their vehicle in the car park on Harrowby Lane at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, October 1.
The two victims were approached by a group of around six or seven unknown males, who punched and kicked them before running off.
The 16-year-old male was repeatedly punched and kicked in the face by one of the men in the group. The man was described as wearing a puffer jacket with a hood, which was pulled up over his face only showing his eyes.
The teen suffered a fracture to his cheekbone as a result of the assault. His 19-year-old brother sustained bruising and a cut to the back of his head. Both of them were taken to hospital where they were treated for their injuries.
Lincolnshire Police published an appeal on Monday, October 7 to appeal for witnesses to the assault.
Detective Constable Sally Sands said: “We believe this was an unprovoked attack on these two men. We would like to speak with any witnesses to this assault, anyone who may have entered the car park around that time with a working dashcam or anyone with any information on who the offenders might be.”
