Lincolnshire seaside pub up for sale for £450k

Fancy owning a seaside pub? A business near Skegness is now on the market after its current owner decided to sell and retire after 34 years at the helm.

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co is marketing The Trafalga Inn in the seaside resort town of Chapel St Leonards. It is being marketed for offers on either a freehold (£450,000) or leasehold basis (£55,000).

The business has been owned and operated by the current owner Gary Edge for the last 34 years. He said he has now decided to sell in order to retire and pursue other interests.

The pub is located on St Leonards Drive, and provides a 66 cover restaurant, lounge bar with pool table, family area for an additional 24 covers and a second pool table. There is also outside seating on a terrace to the front of the property.

The first floor of the property includes four bedroom owner’s accommodation with a roof terrace. A. potential new owner could either live on site here or convert it into letting accommodation subject to relevant permission.

Current owner Gary Edge said: “Having owned the Trafalga Inn for so long, I feel the time is right to entrust the business into the hands of new owners who can further develop what is an already well-established community pub and restaurant.”

Gavin Webb, Senior Business Agent at Christie & Co, added: “This is a great opportunity to take on an established business in an area that benefits from really strong levels of tourism. Whilst food is already offered, a new owner has a real opportunity to build further on this to bring in more tourists during the busy seasons and capitalise on the pub’s proximity to Chapel St Leonard’s campsites.”
