Get ready for a mixture of live 999 displays and fun for all the family at the annual emergency services Rescue Day in North Lincolnshire this weekend.
The event will take place at 7 Lakes Country Park in Crowle in North Lincolnshire on Saturday, July 13. Gates are open from 9.30am to 5pm and car parking is free.
Tickets are priced at £10 for adults 16 and over and £5 for children aged 5-15. Advanced tickets can be purchased online here with a 10% discount using the code RESCUEDAY10. Visitors can also pay on the gate on the day.
Organisers have lined up live mock demonstrations involving all of the emergency services showing how they would deal with events including train crashes, aircraft incidents, water rescues, house fires and car chases.
East Midlands Ambulance Service, Humberside Police and Humberside Fire & Rescue Service will be at the centre of the action, along with other regional emergency and voluntary rescue teams.
British Transport Police will show how they deal with a public order incident. Ambulance Hazardous Area Response Teams and Fire Service Urban Search and Rescue Teams will also demonstrate their specialist skills.
Working dogs including from Humberside Police, K9 Fire Investigation. Favourites from Pete Lewin Newfoundlands will also be in action.
The Red Devils Army Parachute Display team will be making a splash as they land into the main lake at 1pm. Crowds will also see the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and Children’s Air Ambulance landing in front of them.
There will also be over 100 stalls and exhibitors, including charities, food and drink stands, emergency vehicles old and new, and chances to interact and get involved with 999 and support teams.
There will also be a chance to row on the lake, tackle a climbing wall and find a way through a confined space tunnel, as well as boat and pony rides and a fun fair.
The event raises funds for charities and good causes, and has funded emergency equipment, including community defibrillators, to many villages and locations across North Lincolnshire.
