Police investigating the theft of a man’s bank card in Mablethorpe by a hoax ‘charity collector’ have released a CCTV image of a man they’re looking for.
The man told the victim his name was ‘Lee’ and that he worked for a charity selling towels and plasters to raise money.
He convinced his target to pass on his bank card and PIN number before spending around £1,500.
The incident happened at a house in Mablethorpe on Friday, March 29.
The man was described as aged between 25-30, six foot five in height and of slim build.
The police investigation is still ongoing. Police reminded residents not to divulge out sensitive information to others.
Lincolnshire Police said in a statement on Tuesday, April 9: “Officers investigating this offence have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to, to assist with this investigation.
