Care home plans submitted for Louth 240-home development

Developers want to build a 70-unit care home for those over the age of 55 as part of a 240 house plan in Louth.

The outline application, by Charterpoint Louth Ltd, J & M Howard, J Bradley, K Anderson, wants to build the facility on land west of Grimsby Road.

They say the two-three story build will be a mix of independent accommodation, with access to care and support and “communal lifestyle facilities” including crafts, fitness and lounge/dining areas.

It will serve residents requiring “little support to those needing bespoke packages delivered through a care provider.”

The build would be part of a 240-home masterplan for the area.

A report, submitted to East Lindsey District Council by Stone Planning Services on behalf of the applicants concludes: “The development will embrace the local character and landscape setting.

“The senior living accommodation/care facility will provide much needed new residential opportunities that will meet a specific need, helping East Lindsey deliver a strong housing land supply and mix.”

The build is part of a 240 home development being build in the area, the first phase of which was approved in September.

A site location for the new care facility.

The Westfield Park Development, to be accessed off Howard Fields Way, will see a total of 80 homes built along with associated garages, estate roads and landscaping build.

It is planned to be built-in five phases, with the first phase building closest to the entrance and landscaping the rear of the plot.
