PepsiCo completes deal to buy Pipers

Global food and drink giant PepsiCo has completed its multi-million acquisition of Lincolnshire based premium crisps brand Pipers for an undisclosed sum.

As previously reported, PepsiCo plans to accelerate the growth of the Pipers business, which is based in Elsham Wold, Brigg, while continuing to develop the export of its products.

The acquisition of the kettle-cooked crisp brand was approved by the Competition and Markets Authority last month.

The brand is sold in venues including pubs, restaurants, cafes, hotels and farm shops, both in the UK and abroad.
