Man arrested over alleged Grimsby rape

Police have arrested a man in his 20s after a woman was reportedly raped in Grimsby.

The woman was walking home around shortly after midnight on Sunday, March 10 when she was approached from behind.

She then reported being raped by the man, described as around 5 feet 8 inches tall of slim building wearing a dark jacket and jeans.

Humberside Police has launched a witness appeal into the incident, which happen on Railway Street in Grimsby.

The force is currently reviewing CCTV images and arrested a man in connection with the incident.

Anyone who has information is being urged to call 101 and quote incident 22 of March 10.

Officers are increasing police patrols in the area.

The force issued advice to stay alert while walking alone.
