Man arrested as baby twins left in serious condition

A man has been arrested after two baby twins were taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Both boys, under the age of one, remain in a life threatening condition in hospital.

Lincolnshire Police received the reports at around 5pm on March 27 that one child was seriously ill.

Later the same day, the boy’s twin brother was also taken to hospital. It is unclear if the children have suffered a medical episode at this time.

Officer are guarding a property in Granville Street, Boston in connection with the investigation.

They have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the incident.

Detective inspector Lee St Quinton said: “This is clearly a sensitive case for the family involved. We are working closely with the family at this difficult time to establish the facts of the matter.”
