Helicopter search after ‘suspicious’ van hits police vehicle

A police helicopter is searching for a vehicle and its occupants after a suspected hit in run with a police car in Boston this afternoon.

Lincolnshire Police said a vehicle was seen in “suspicious circumstances” in the Boston area at around 2pm on Wednesday, March 20.

A blue Ford Transit van failed to stop for officers. It then collided with a police vehicle on Argyle Street.

A National Police Air Service helicopter was requested to assist the county’s force in searching for the vehicle and its occupants.

The investigation continues.
