Gainsborough Crawshaws butchers gets the cut

A butchers in Gainsborough has closed down permanently after Crawshaws was placed into administration.

The meat company made an announcement today to reveal which stores had been saved, but Gainsborough wasn’t on the list.

Other Lincolnshire stores like the one in Scunthorpe, Lincoln and Grimsby were saved in the move.

However, the Gainsborough store put up a notice in their window today to say that it had closed and the nearest was in Scunthorpe.

The store’s facebook page has been removed and it was marked as “permanently closed” online.

The company said that any saving stamps are redeemable at the listed stores.

Crawshaws announced on October 31 that it had been placed into administration after it could not “raise sufficient capital” to fix financial issues.
