Train strikes will take place this weekend, which will impact on services in the county.
It’s the eighth of nine consecutive Saturdays of planned strikes by the RMT.
As previously reported, the Lincoln-Sheffield Northern Rail train services were affected in August and September and once again replacement buses will be in place for Saturday, October 13.
The service between Cleethorpes and Barton-on-Humber will also be affected by the latest phase of strike action in the Northern Rail guards’ safety dispute by the National Union of Rail Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT).
Replacement bus service for Lincoln-Sheffield (October 13):
Cleethorpes to Barton-on-Humber revised service:
Northern Rail said that this Saturday (October 13) they will be operating a reduced timetable with very few trains running before 9am and after 6pm.
They said they expect to run around 30% of services and all customers are advised to plan carefully if they intend to travel on the rail network.
A statement on the Northern Rail website continued: “Unfortunately, on some routes, we aren’t able to run services, while others have a limited service. On those routes where we are able to operate trains, we expect all services to be extremely busy.
“We also have replacement bus services available on some routes where trains aren’t running.
“On Sunday there will be planned cancellations on a small minority of routes, primarily in the north west, and again customers should check up to the last minute before travelling.”
A further strike is also planned for Saturday, October 20.
