Restaurant retains Lincolnshire’s only Michelin ‘good value’ award

A Lincolnshire restaurant has retained two major awards including being the only one in the county to have a Bib Gourmand for good value.

The Hope and Anchor at South Ferriby, which opened four years ago, was once again awarded the Bib Gourmand by Michelin, which is given out to restaurants that offer high quality food at reasonable prices.

The 19th century venue, which is right on the Humber estuary and also has five rooms, was also told by the AA that it has been given its two rosettes for the second year.

Owner and head chef Slawomir Mikolajczyk trained under top chefs including Colin McGurran, Gordon Ramsey and Marcus Wareing.

He said: “We are the only restaurant in Lincolnshire to have a Bib Gourmand so it’s a real honour to have retained it for the second time.

“It just shows that our commitment to creating the best food using the freshest of ingredients is being widely recognised and that’s fantastic, not just for me, but for all of the team.”
