A lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after the vehicle overturned on the A1 at Great Gonerby on Monday morning.
As previously reported, police partially closed the southbound carriageway and a lorry overturned, causing further issues and delays and traffic is at a standstill.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “A lorry has overturned and the driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.”
When asked if there were any injuries police added: “Minor injuries. Traffic more or less at a standstill.”
Please be advised that due to an overturned lorry, traffic is almost at a standstill on the #A1 at Great Gonerby. Due to an earlier collision on the A1 at Great Ponton, there is significant traffic problems on the A1 this morning – please find alternative routes if possible.
