An air ambulance landed on a Boston school’s playing fields on Tuesday morning after a sudden death in the area.
Carlton Road Academy reassured parents and carers that all children and staff are fine and in a social media post they said: “You may have noticed that an Air Ambulance helicopter has landed on our school’s field.
“Please be assured that this is nothing to do with the school, our children and staff are all fine, they have just used our field to land while they tend to a nearby emergency. It then landed in Carlton Road Academy’s playing fields.”
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We attended a report of a sudden death at Station Street, Boston this morning. There are no suspicious circumstances and the family are being supported.”
No patients were taken to hospital and a spokesperson for EMAS added: “We received a call at 11:20 to an incident at a residential address in Boston. The caller reported a patient who was unconscious and not breathing. We sent a double crewed ambulance and the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.”
