Rescued lemurs leap in action at Lincolnshire zoo

Five rescued lemurs have found their forever home at Boston Wildlife Park, with a unique habitat that’s a first for the county.

The ring tailed lemurs, called Enina, Roa, Sivy, Fola and Moura, were rescued from a failing zoo in France.

Food was in short supply at the French zoo before it was put into liquidation and the lemurs were given a temporary home in the Netherlands.

Working in partnership with the non-profit organisation that rescued the lemurs, Ark Wildlife Park has been able to give them a permanent home.

The team have been hard at work creating an enclosure, called Lemur Lake, which will be opening for the first time on Sunday, August 19 at 11am.

The team were excited to welcome the lemurs.
