A 77-year-old woman in Grimsby is in shock after waking to find a burglar crawling along her bedroom floor in the early hours of the morning.
Police are looking for the suspect after the burglary at a home on Barry Avenue on August 10.
The victim woke up at around 3.15am to find a man crawling on his hands and knees around her bedroom.
Police said she challenged him before he ran out of the property, taking with him a yellow make-up bag containing money and bank cards and two cordless Panasonic house phones.
The woman wasn’t hurt.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “We want to find this man.
“He’s been described as white, 20 to 30-years-old, between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 9 tall, slim, and was wearing black or dark coloured clothing and woollen hat.
“He spoke with a local accent.”
