Roadworks in different towns and cities across the county will cause some disruption and closures this week.
Contractor Clancy Docwra will start work to lay a new gas main along a section of the A16 on Tuesday, May 29.
The works between Toll Bar and Louth Road roundabouts will connect gas supplies to the nearby Cyden Homes Becklands housing development.
The works will last until Saturday, June 2, although it might run into the Sunday if any unforeseen matters arise.
Dispensation has been given to Cyden Homes for the contractor to work until 10pm to complete the works.
Two-way or four-way traffic lights will be in place between Toll Bar roundabout and the Becklands site, which will be manually controlled at all times.
North East Lincolnshire Council, working in partnership with ENGIE, has liaised with the contractor to minimise disruption.
North East Lincolnshire Council, working in partnership with ENGIE, will carry out minor remedial works at two locations in Cleethorpes – the B1203 at East Ravendale and the junction of Warwick Road and Sandringham Road.
Works will be carried out to the B1203 East Ravendale from the A18 junction, up to and including, the C414 Wold Newton Road Junction on Tuesday, May 29 for one day.
These works will be completed under a road closure on the B1203 between the Avenue and the A18 and the Avenue and the C414 Wold Newton Road Junction, from 7.30am to 6pm.
Access to the Avenue Junction will be maintained at all times and diversion signs will be in place.
Works to the junction of Warwick Road and Sandringham Road in Cleethorpes will be carried out from Tuesday, May 29 to Friday, June 1.
To reduce the impact of these works they will be carried out under temporary traffic lights.
During this period, the bus service will be suspended on Curzon Avenue and Warwick Road. Notices will be displayed at affected bus stops.
Parking on Sandringham Road between Balmoral Road and Philip Avenue will also be temporarily suspended to allow free flow of traffic during the works.
Wragby Road, Lincoln
The next set of resurfacing works and night-time road closures will take place between Tuesday, May 29 and Thursday, June 7 from 8pm to 5am Monday to Friday.
As previously reported, six months of roadworks to reduce congestion along Outer Circle Road and Wragby Road reached their midway point earlier this month.
The project is being funded using part of the £5.4million allocated to the authority by the Department of Transport from its National Productivity Investment Fund.
Subject to suitable weather these works will take place in the following order:
- May 29-30 – Outer Circle Road/Carlton Boulevard
- May 31-June 1 – Outer Circle Road/Deacon Road
- June 4-5 – Outer Circle Road/Carlton Boulevard
- June 6-7 – Outer Circle Road/Deacon Road
Signed diversion routes for the works:
- Bunkers Hill/Wragby Road East – via A158 to Nettleham Road to Ruskin Avenue, and vice versa
- Outer Circle Drive – via Bunkers Hill to A158 to Nettleham Road, and vice versa
- Carlton Boulevard – use the Hawthorn Rd exit during the works
- Outer Circle Road – via Wragby Road to Greetwell Road, and vice versa
- Wragby Road West to Chaucer Drive – via Wragby Road to Greetwell Road, and vice versa
Tentercroft Street closure
Tentercroft Street will be shut for three days starting from Tuesday, May 29.
Contractors Clancy Docwra will be working on behalf of Anglian Water, with the road closure restriction set to be in place until Thursday, May 31.

Traffic travelling west to east is diverted via the High Street, South Park Avenue, A15/Canwick Road, Portland Street, Cross Street.
Traffic travelling from east to west is diverted via Broadgate, Corporation Street/West Parade, Brayford Way, Ropewalk, St Mark Street.
