Man smashed train windows and caused over £100k of damage

British Transport Police are looking for a man who smashed train windows and caused over £100,000 of damage at Cleethorpes station.

A man entered the station and smashed a number of windows before boarding a train and damaging more windows and dividers with a tool at around 1am on Tuesday, January 9.

The man was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a dark coloured coat with his hood up.

A man fitting the same description arrived at the Stagecoach depot at Victoria station around 20 minutes later on the same day and again smashed windows with a tool.

The estimated damage to the train was £100,000 and to the depot was £10,000.

Police officers believe these offences may be linked.

British Transport Police officers believe this incident could be linked to a previous incident from last year at Cleethorpes train station.
