A 13-year-old boy has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life in connection with a fire at a home in Cleethorpes on Tuesday.
A family reportedly escaped in their pyjamas after the arson attack in Harrington Street in Cleethorpes in the early hours of Tuesday, April 17, which firefighters say could have killed them.
Thousands of pounds of damage is said to have been caused after an arsonist set fire to wheelie bins. The blaze quickly spread.
The boy was remanded to appear before Grimsby and Cleethorpes Youth Court on Wednesday, April 18.
Detective Chief Inspector Nicki Miller said: “We believe this was an isolated incident and not linked to any of the other reported arson offences we saw over the winter months.”
