CCTV: Bumbling thief fails to break into cigarette counter so makes off with booze

Police are looking for a man pictured on CCTV after a thief smashed their way into a Coningsby shop with a hammer and made off with alcohol.

The incident happened at the NISA store on Coningsby High Street in the early hours of March 27.

Police said a man described as white and in his late 20s reportedly broke into the store by kicking the glass and using a hammer.

The man attempted to open the cigarette display, but failed, before stealing a selection of alcohol.
