At least four fire crews have been scrambled to deal with a blaze at a flat on Wainfleet High Street.
The fire began just after midday on Wednesday, February 21 near to the Wainfleet Chemist.
The High Street has been closed in both directions while firefighters battle the blaze.
Plumes of smoke bellowed from the building and neighbouring properties were evacuated.
A Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson told Lincolnshire Reporter five appliances and an aerial ladder were used.
It is not yet known if anyone has been injured or how long the road is expected to be closed for.
