Boston Borough Council will renew the contract with a private security company which handed out over 500 fines for littering and dog fouling in the town.
The council’s cabinet agreed to renew the service provided by 3GS UK for a further 12 months, up to April 18, 2019.
3GS UK issued 514 fixed penalty notices for environmental crime offences from April to December 2017.
The company will keep all of the revenue it generates.
The council only handed out seven notices for the whole of the 2016-17 financial year by contrast.
New signage and CCTV cameras will also be installed at high-profile fly-tipping hotspots to catch offenders in the act.
Councillors also approved a three-staged approach in enforcing households that contaminate recycling.
There will be two warnings before a household is fined.
Councillor Aaron Spencer, deputy leader of the council, said: “It’s not about generating income.
“It’s about doing as a council what residents want us to do, which is to keep our streets clean.”
