Police car bricked after officers investigate JCB digger theft in Scunthorpe

A police car had bricks thrown at it by a group of men after officers were called to investigate the theft of a mini digger.

The JCB digger was stolen from North Farm Road in Scunthorpe at around 10pm on Tuesday, October 17.

It had been loaded into the back of a white Ford Transit van and driven away.

The digger was later found on land near to Mill Lane in Brigg.

Officers who attended the scene had bricks thrown at their car by a group of men who police are looking to trace.

Anyone with information on either incidents should call Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting log 586 of October 17.
