A Skegness GP surgery has been forced to cancel its appointments after an electrical fire caused a power cut.
Beacon Medical Practice off Churchill Avenue has no access to its computer systems or telephones following the fire on Burgh Road at around 3am on Thursday, October 19.
Firefighters from Skegness and Wainfleet extinguished the fire using a dry powder extinguisher.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group said: “Please note that Beacon Medical Practice is currently experiencing technical difficulties and have no access to computer systems or telephones.
“We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. At present we are only dealing with emergencies and are in the process of trying to redirect patients where appropriate.
“Thank you for you patience.”
Karen Cuppleditch, who lives in Burgh Road, praised firefighters, and said: “Thank you for your quick response as without it, it could have been a lot worse as our neighbour’s car is parked right near it.
“Credit and thank you to all you that are on call and got here so quick and got it under control.
“This proves even more why we should win our fight to get our off street parking onto our green!”
