Persistent heavy rain across Greater Lincolnshire over the last 24 hours has caused flooding in a number of homes and roads, with a football match even having to be abandoned.
Both Humberside and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue have been busy during the evening, overnight and this morning dealing with the damage caused as a result of the floods.
Most of the flooding appears to have taken place in the north and north-east of the region.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue dealt with five incidents of flooding overnight, with crews from Gainsborough, Caistor and Market Rasen called out.
The worst of the flooding seems to have taken place in Grimsby and North-East Lincolnshire, with this picture highlighting the scene on the A1136 Ellis Way in the town overnight.
Grimsby Town’s Carabao Cup match against Derby County was abandoned after only 19 minutes, with the Mariners trailing 1-0.
North in Immingham, homes and roads have also been affected.
Flooding seems to especially have been bad around Habrough Fields, Worsley Road and Clyfton Crescent the latter of which is pictured below.
A weather warning for rain remains in place today (August 9)>
