Drivers are facing severe delays after a collision on the A46 near Newark. Emergency services are on scene.
The crash, in which two men and a woman are said to be involved, happened at the crossroads with Collingham northbound and is being described as ‘serious’ by Nottinghamshire Police.
One side of the carriageway is closed to vehicles.
An air ambulance has been sent to the area and highways departments are working to clear debris and an oil spillage.
Traffic is beginning to build in the area and drivers are being advised to find alternative routes.
The extent of any injuries is not known at this stage.
