Stretches of the A18 in North East Lincolnshire will be closed for general maintenance work later this month.
Sections of the road between the junction of the A46 Laceby Road and the county boundary near Ludborough will be closed between Monday, May 8 and Friday, May 19.
The two week project includes routine maintenance works such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, weed spraying, tree works, road sweeping and litter picking.
Other works to the highway include updating road markings, signs, the speed camera site and improved drainage.
The programme of works is as follows:
- Part 1: Monday, May 8 – Thoroughfare Junction to North East Lincolnshire boundary near Ludborough
- Part 2: Tuesday, May 9 to Friday, May 12 – Waltham Road to Thoroughfare Junction
- Part 3: Monday, May 15 to Friday, May 19 – Waltham Road to A46 Laceby Road, access only from A46 roundabout
The specific sections of road will be closed between 7am and 6pm to protect the workforce.
Arrangements have been made with local people and businesses affected by the closures.
Advance warning signs and local diversions signs will be in place for the duration of the closures.
