A Grimsby GP surgery has been praised in a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Pelham Medical Group, also known as Humberview Surgery, was rated as ‘good’ in recent reports on the quality of care provided by GP practices.
An announced comprehensive inspection at the surgery inside the Stirling Medical Centre took place on September 15, 2016, with the findings published this month.
Inspectors found that the safety, effectiveness and responsiveness of the practice was all good.
Praise was also given to the leadership and caring nature of the surgery.
In the report, inspectors said: “Patients told us they felt involved in decision making about the care and treatment they received.
“They also told us they felt listened to and supported by staff and had sufficient time during consultations to make an informed decision about the choice of treatment available to them.
“Patients said they found it easy to make an appointment with a named GP and there was continuity of care, with urgent appointments available the same day.
“The practice had good facilities and was well equipped to treat patients and meet their needs.
“There was a clear leadership structure and staff felt supported by management. The practice proactively sought feedback from staff and patients, which it acted on.”
