This story is over

A CCTV image of a man has been released after a pregnant woman was sexually assaulted on a train.

The incident happened on Saturday, August 27 at around 6.30pm as the train travelled between Manchester Piccadilly and Cleethorpes.

PC Karen Taylor-Malkin said: “The victim was walking through the first class carriage to the toilet when she was touched inappropriately as she passed a male passenger.

“This is entirely unacceptable behaviour and will not be tolerated.”

After reviewing CCTV, officers are issuing an image of a man they want to speak to about the incident.

“I believe the man in the image has information about this incident. Who is he?” added PC Taylor-Malkin.
