Woman hospitalised after assault on Grimsby street

A woman is in a stable condition in hospital after being assaulted in Grimsby.

Ambulance crews alerted officers after they were called to the scene of an altercation on Freeman Street at around 12.20am on Saturday, August 27, close to Cottees Bar.

The unconscious 24-year-old victim was treated at the scene and later taken to Hull Royal Infirmary.

Independent witnesses are now being sought to the incident.
