Brigg woman to appear in court charged with racial harassment

A Brigg woman is due to appear in court charged with racially harassing another woman.

Elaine Kirk, 52, of Bridge Street, was charged with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour, and racially aggravated intentional harassment, following an incident on Saturday, July 30.

She is due to appear before North Lincolnshire Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 1.

Humberside Police have said that the charge follows a force-wide drive to encourage more victims of hate crime to come forward.
