Gainsborough traffic warden injured after alleged assault

A Gainsborough traffic warden has been treated for head injuries following an alleged assault in the town.
Lincolnshire Police received reports of an allegation of assault on Cobden Street at around 1pm on July 4.
The traffic warden, in his 60s, suffered a minor head injury as a result of the incident.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “The identity of the other party is known and an active investigation into the matter is ongoing.
“There have been no arrests or charges.”
