They need you: Lincolnshire animals in need of a forever home

This story is over

Many Lincolnshire charities put in time and effort to look after rescued animals in need of care.

The organisations give the animals a second chance at life but can only give them a temporary home.

Do you have it in your heart to give these long standing residents a permanent loving home?

Here are just a few of Lincolnshire’s pets in need of a forever home:

Mr Tea

Mr Tea

  • Name: Mr Tea
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Between two and three years
  • Location: Lincolnshire Rescue Kennels, Ingham
  • Hobby: Playing

Mr Tea was found as a stray and has been in care for six months, but has had very little interest.

Tea is a very strong boy who would benefit greatly from some training; his knowledge of commands is limited but he has already picked up some simple commands such as ‘sit’.

Despite the kennel environment Tea has actually calmed down a little since being here and will come on in leaps and bounds once he is in the right home.

Tea loves his walks and is a big fan of playing, especially tug .

As Tea is a big dog who has had little training as yet he needs to go to a home without young children, and no other cats or dogs.

Solero

Solero

  • Name: Solero
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: Seven years
  • Location: Bransby Horses
  • Hobby: Jumping

Solero came into the care of Bransby Horses in 2014 at the request of the police after she was abandoned.

She has a lovely temperament and will require an experienced and patient rider to further her education as a ridden horse.

Solero works well on the flat and enjoys jumping.

She is very good in traffic and is calm when different sizes and types of vehicles pass her.

A well-mannered mare, Solero is happy to stand to be groomed, fussed and loves a cuddle.

She would love to find her ‘Friend for Life’ fosterer to give her the one to one attention and routine that she so deserves.

  • Name: Spike
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: One year
  • Location: Lincolnshire Rescue Kennels, Ingham

Spike came in as a stray.

He is housetrained but may need a refresher and has previously lived with children aged between one and 11 years old. He can be boisterous as he is still young.

Spike has previously lived with cats, but the kennels are unsure how he would be with them now.

This lovable pooch does not like to be left alone, so will need someone to work on his separation anxieties.

Spike likes eating treats and playing.

  • Name: Aggie
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: Five years
  • Location: Grimsby Blue Cross rehoming service
  • Hobby: Making friends

Aggie was hopping around as a stray when a lady picked her up and took her to the Bluecross for shelter.

  • Name: Robbie
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Three years
  • Location: Lincoln RSPCA
  • Hobby: Playing ball

Robbie is a Brindle Staffie who has sadly been in care for one year and three months.

He originally came into care as he was being neglected and had a severe case of mange that had not been treated.

He is now mange free and looking for a home.

Robbie has become a firm favourite at the kennels due to the amount of time he has been there. He is a lovely dog who is full of fun.

He loves to play ball and to play with all his toys. He also loves to be fussed and is very affectionate.

Robbie’s only vice is that he doesn’t like other dogs and could not be rehomed with cats.
