Lincolnshire NHS scientist accused of smacking female colleague’s bottom and asking for a threesome

A scientist working for the NHS in Lincolnshire faces a misconduct hearing after being accused of making several vulgar comments to female colleagues, including asking one for a threesome and another to get on her knees for him.

Biomedical scientist Julian Roberts, who worked at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, is also alleged to have smacked one of his colleague’s bottom and referred to another as “little knickers”.

Roberts faces a fitness to practise hearing in London to answer the accusations of sexual misconduct against three of his colleagues.

The first accusations centre around colleague A who he is alleged to have smacked on the bottom on May 28, 2015, and on an unknown date between March 2014 and June 2015, to have stated he would “rather work on the night shift with her as she looks better in a skirt”, or words to that effect.

Roberts is also accused of having behaved inappropriately to colleague B, by firstly stating “it’s tight round here” while he brushed past her with his hands around her hips.

This incident is alleged to have happened on May 26, 2015.

Two months earlier on March 28, Roberts is said to have told her “to wear something sexy” and made reference to “having a threesome”.

Allegations regarding colleague C started in October 2014, when he is accused of saying “are you getting on your knees for me”.

On various dates between then and June 2015, Roberts is said to have referred to his colleague as “little knickers”, as well as holding her hand.

He is also accused of nudging her and saying “the things we could do in two minutes”.

The three-day hearing is due to start on January 3 and will decide if the scientist’s fitness to practice has been impaired.
