Nights are now getting cooler, which only means one thing. Halloween is around the corner. Lincolnshire Reporter has come up with a number of events for all of the family to enjoy.

Burghley Pumpkin Trail

When: Saturday, October 15 – Sunday, October 30, 11am – 5pm (last admission 4.30pm)
Where: Burghley House, Stamford
Price: Free with a house and gardens or gardens only ticket

Join staff and visitors for the Burghley Pumpkin Trail around the sculpture garden.

Tread through the crispy Autumn leaves and find the hidden pumpkins to receive a treat.

Marshall’s Yard Halloween Party

When: Saturday, October 29, 12pm onwards
Where: Marshall’s Yard, Gainsborough
Price: Free

The fantastic Halloween event returns to Marshall’s Yard and Gainsborough town centre this year.

There will be live performances throughout the afternoon, a spooky market and a number of street acts.

There will also be a  fire show and free firework display on the Riverside

Halloween at Doddington Hall

Where: Doddington Hall
Price: Free with admission to the halls and gardens.

Choose a pumpkin from Doddington Hall’s grounds for autumnal carving decorations or to make some delicious seasonal recipes using local ingredients.

Follow signs to the pumpkin patch and bring wellies!

Normanby Hall Pumpkin Trail

Where: Normanby Hall and Country Park
Price: 20p per trail sheet

Wrap up warm and take part in the half term trail, finding pumpkins hidden along the way. Pick up your trail sheet from the gift shop for 20p.

The gift shop is open daily from 10.30am to 4pm.

Be spooked and get in the mood for Halloween by exploring haunted Lincoln by open-top bus with a local ghost expert.

One of the team from the popular Lincoln Ghost Walks will guide you around Lincoln on Tour Lincoln, the open-top city sightseeing bus, whilst telling spooky tales and stories of Lincoln’s haunted past.

A night in a haunted Mill

Explore the creaky old watermill in Sleaford on Halloween night for an evening of fun.

Cogglesford Watermill will open for Halloween to let you explore the mill itself.

There will be hidden clues to discover as you investigate the historic building and craft activities to make your own spooky mask.

Lincoln Castle’s Victorian Prison will come to life with tales from the past this Halloween. Enter if you dare!

Meet the unsavoury characters form inside the Victorian Prison this October half term, the vile victorians will be sure to give you a fright and hear ghost stories and tales of witch trials from the Victorian undertakers themselves.

Children can also  create their own creepy characters too and take home an origami bat or pipe cleaner spider.

Magic Halloween Show
