They need you: Lincolnshire animals looking for forever home

This story is over

Many Lincolnshire charities put in time and effort to look after rescued animals in need of care.

The organisations give the animals a second chance at life but can only give them a temporary home.

Do you have it in your heart to give these long standing residents a permanent loving home?

Here are just a few of Lincolnshire’s pets in need of a forever home:

Yogi

Yogi

Yogi

  • Name: Yogi
  • Age: One-year-old
  • Gender: Male
  • Hobby: Playing
  • Location: Lincoln RSPCA

This is Yogi who came into care through no fault of his own.

He is very sweet natured, however it would be advised not to rehome Yogi into a home with very young children.

Ideally he would suit a home with older children or adults.

To meet him or for more information contact Moira on 07905 834828.

Cally

Cally

Cally

  • Name: Cally
  • Age: Eight-years-old
  • Gender: Female
  • Hobby: Pulling funny faces
  • Location: Bransby Horses, Bransby

Cally came into Bransby Horses in 2015 at the request of the RSPCA.

She is a very affectionate mare but does require an experienced person to handle her as she is still quite anxious of being shod.

The charity says she is working very nicely in the school and loves to jump.

She hacks out in company and is unfazed by traffic. Cally is just starting to hack alone more confidently.

Rhubarb (right) and Custard (left)

  • Name: Rhubarb (right) and Custard (left)
  • Age: Rhubarb: eight-years-old, Custard: 12-years-old
  • Gender: Rhubarb: Male, Custard: Female
  • Hobby: Having a lot of fuss and attention
  • Location: Ruskington Kennels

Rhubarb and Custard came into care via the RSPCA Inspectors after their owner passed away.

Custard is virtually blind and relies on Rhubarb to help guide her.

They love to sleep cuddled up together and enjoy being together. Both of them are very affectionate and love fuss and attention.

Due to Rhubarb being eight-years-old and Custard being 12-years-old they are constantly being over-looked.

For more information call Ruskington Kennels on 01526 833977.

Chloe

Chloe

Chloe

  • Name: Chloe
  • Age: Approx. three-years-old
  • Gender: Female
  • Hobby: Being active
  • Location: Lincolnshire Rescue Kennels, Ingham
Chloe came to Lincolnshire Rescue Kennels as a stray.
She is a lovely and friendly dog who loves attention. Her favourite past time is playing.
Chloe would suit an active family where she can be part of the team and go on adventures.
Chloe is good with other dogs and children but the charity is unsure how she would be with cats.

Dylan

Dylan

Dylan

  • Name: Dylan
  • Age: Four-years-old
  • Gender: Male
  • Hobby: Sun-bathing in the field
  • Location: Bransby Horses, Bransby

Dylan was brought in to the charity in 2015 after being abandoned.

He can be a little nervous, but with some reassurance the charity is confident he will overcome this.

He is looking for a home as a companion under the charity’s Youth Club scheme but could be backed within the right home.

Dylan has sweet itch which is currently managed with a rug. He is also nervous with the dentist.

  • Gender: Male
  • Hobby: Playing with his teddy bear
  • Location: Lincoln
Frankie was originally found abandoned in Lincoln tied up outside a grooming parlour with a note saying: “My name is Frankie, I’m sorry.”
Frankie has been neutered, house trained and is good with children, but isn’t keen on other dogs or cats.
He travels well in the car and walks to heal. He is a very loving dog and loves his toy teddy bear.
Currently, Frankie is on a diet and his new owners must keep this up.
Frankie is a fantastic dog and will make a great family friend. Despite his age he is very fit and healthy.
